Mr. Suny S. Virk articled with the prestigious law firm of Greenspan, Henein & White, under the tutelage of Edward Greenspan, Q.C. While articling, Mr. Virk assisted in the editing of Mr. Greenspan’s most recent book, Counsel for the Defence, The Bernard Cohn Memorial Lectures in Criminal Law. Upon becoming a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Suny Virk has been practicing criminal law exclusively.
Mr. Virk is presently a barrister with the law firm, where the firm’s primary focus is the representation of our client persons on criminal and/or quasi-criminal matters.
Mr. Virk is committed to aggressively representing and protecting his client’s interests and prides himself on his experience and professionalism in the criminal justice system.
Mr. Virk first gained exposure to criminal law while attending law school in Canada and has been awarded the Certificate of Merit Award in Advocacy.
Mr. Virk has written numerous articles relating to criminal law issues and regularly provides lectures and speeches to various institutions and associations. Mr. Virk has appeared on CBC, CTV, Global, City TV and 680NEWS. His cases have been featured in The Globe & Mail, The Toronto Star and The Toronto Sun
Mr. Virk is presently and has been an active member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Peel Law Association, the Peel Criminal Lawyers Association the York Region Law Association, and the Canadian Association of South Asian Lawyers.
